Justice for Jazz Artists
0Though an important part of NYC’s cultural heritage, even highly successful jazz musicians live precariously, often growing old in poverty.
NYC’s Birdland, Blue Note, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, the Iridium, the Jazz Standard and the Village Vanguard refuse to sign a collective bargaining agreement or pay into a pension fund that would help these artists to retire with dignity.
See Justice for Jazz Artists for more information.
